I was diagnosed with mg in 2004. I started with double vision and it then spread to generalized mg. I was diagnosed quite quickly, followed very soon by a thymectomy to remove an enlarged thymus. A year later I went into remission and was able to go entirely off of meds, though some symptoms remained in mild form. Since then I have had to occasionally be on mild dosages of meds, depending on stresses in life. I recently found that a very low vitamin D level was most likely a contributing factor to my mg symptoms, and getting this back to normal range has left me feeling very well.
