50 year old female primary school teacher, single parent of one fab 15yr old boy. Live West Sussex.
After major back surgery went to doctor's constantly complaining of weakness right body, numbness on face, coughing at night, breathlessness which was put down to stress/asthma/age/overweight/back op. July 05 right eyelid drooped, referred to neurologist (appt end Nov), during summer vision deteriorated, went back to GP who sent me straight up to hospital. MG diagnosed and following chest Xray, mass found which, following thymectomy, is thymic cancer. On steroids (yeugh, yeugh) which I am hoping to reduce over the coming year.
