I am a 36 year old woman who was diagnosed with MG in Jan 2002. I had symptoms for many years including weakness in the hands, legs, arms, neck and also double vision. I was told by various drs in the medical profession that my illness was stress related and was all in my head. I did have psychiatric problems and so my physical problems were lumped in with my mental health and it took over 7 years to diagnose me. I had a thymectomy in 2002 and take mestinon 60mg x 3 a day. Am currently well enough to work and have a social life. My muscle strength is probably 50% restored at times. I think I just learn to cope and adapt my MG into my life.
