age 27 from scotland
just diagnosed jan 09
on mestinon 30-60mg every 4 hrs depending on the day
symptoms started out as only swallowing and speech but have progressed recently to the whole body...walking ,heavy arms, droopy eyelids, breathing difficulties.
they all came on after being injected with iodine dye for ct scan
wasnt on meds till after this happened and couldnt go on without some drugs
now rely on drugs every day without them wouldnt be able to do much.
annoyed as am at uni trying to finish my degree and have a successful career thats why have had a thymectomy this summer.
had it july 09 and feel like im finally getting better reducing meds but recently putting them back up as hectic timetable and stress so hoping wont go back downhill.

in my final year of dentistry which is the worst as i have to do exams, the physical work every day which is harder than it looks and demanding and apply for jobs and move home next summer.

pretty stressful things to deal with in a year lets hope the surgery works and remission comes sooner rather than later
