Hi Everyone Just to let you know ive booked a holiday today, although that's not awhat this is about. Travel insurance is normaly tricky, however i was given the following number by thompsons to check if they would cover MG and youl never guess, they not only new of the condition and it's medications etc but for only a small increase in the cost covered me without a problem. The details in case you need it in the future are Mondial Health 08456180350---------- Bob Barron Margate Kent UK

On the telly (in the UK) recently a company called All Clear Travel have been advertising a travel policy especially for people with existing medical conditions.
I had a look at their website (www.allcleartravel.co.uk) and got a very competitive quote for annual cover for EU travel. They asked the 'normal' questions about my MG - inpatient treatment, can I walk unaided etc. Has anyone here used them or (perhaps more importantly) had to claim from them?
---------- Regards,
Rob

I was only asked three questions before being given cover. 1. Have you been in hospital in the last twelve months with this condition. 2. Has the condition worsened in the last twelve months. 3. Can you take care of yourself. ---------- Bob Barron Margate Kent UK

Hi I'm new at all this MG business, and am finding the admin more trying than the condition. We're booking a holiday in the Canaries and my husband and myself have both had cancer ( that presents its own problems when trying to get insurance- but we're used to that)! Just come off the phone from one young lady who couldn't pronounce MG but did say that since I'd already had one terminal condition I couldn't get cover for another!! (As my cancer wasn't terminal I was quite puzzled!). Am now waiting for a reply from the insurance company on this website.
As for the condition itself I have a few speech problems which can be interesting as I'm a college lecturer (posh name for a teacher). I tend to catnap a lot too which helps me. Any advice welcome about anything.
