Hi Karen

Now you've worried me, am flying to US on Friday.

However since diagnosis I have flown to Poland and didn't appear to have any adverse effects, so hopeful for this trip. Will let you know when I return

Its nowhere as near as severe as before the op, i.e liquid down nose ect, its more of a feeling of my throat been tighter when i swallow, i ate the in flight meal ok, so dont let it worry you, i just wondered if anybody else had this feeling, it could be down to nerves as i do feel a little claustrophobic when flying, also we had a delay due to our bags not going with us, (so on another subject take a few items of clothes in hand luggage, ours didnt arrive until the next evening).
Hope you have a lovely time, sorry if i have worried you.
ps... very jealous i love America

Thanks Karen

Okay on the clothes front as going to visit friends in new jersey.

Sounds like the effect of stress rather than pure flying, find when I get stressed I have difficulty with my swallow etc. Don't mind flying, wouldn't take me to as my first career was building them

Hi

Well I've returned from US and no problems with flying at all, other than the boredom!!!!

Did have problem with heat, one day was in high nineties and after being dragged round outdoor mall was very fatigued and a little giddy but a few minutes rest and a mestinon (was just about due one) and I was fine.

Happy to report that I experienced no problems of any kind during flights. Managed two weeks in Spain in 28degrees heat, had no problems at all, didn't even get bitten as everyone else did, have returned home relaxed and happy to have survived with no mishaps.

Hi!

I am originally from the UK, but have been teaching in Hong Kong for 4 years now - I fly home three or four times a year and I can thankkfully say I have never had any problems with flying.
